Hitex International Group began over 40 years ago with the formation of L&R Roadlines Ltd. They were established as a general contractor of road safety markings, and based at premises in Liverpool, North West England.
With road safety and high values of workmanship at the core of their business, L&R Roadlines was part of a group of four UK companies to establish the Road Safety Markings Association (RSMA). Still active in the industry today, the Association was conceived to promote the road marking industry as a whole, and to support the collective interests of its members. Today, the RSMA represent around 90% of companies involved in the UK road marking industry.
L&R Roadlines became the first UK Road Marking Contractor to gain Quality Assurance accreditation, part of the company’s drive to raise standards in the growing industry sector.
Textureprint Ltd is established to service a growing market demand for decorative, innovative road treatments specified for, amongst others: town centres, urban regeneration schemes, pedestrian zones, commercial developments and heritage areas.
Hitex Traffic Safety Ltd is established at a purpose-built facility in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Specialising in the manufacture of road safety materials with a strong focus on product development, Hitex Traffic Safety incorporates on-site Research & Development laboratories alongside the most technologically advanced plant of its type in the UK.
Hitex Traffic Safety Ltd begins to export specially modified thermoplastic and road surfacing material into Europe.
Hitex Traffic Safety expands further; exporting to North America, South America and the Caribbean.
