Quality Control Technician

At Hitex International Group we enable our clients to meet the evolving challenges of global road networks with fully integrated, innovative solutions for a wide range of road infrastructure projects.

Our group specialises in the development of formulations for road markings, high friction surfacing and road repair materials along with the manufacture of installation vehicles and equipment.

We are also committed to sharing our vast wealth of skills and knowledge.  We achieve this ambition through comprehensive operative training programmes and the provision of practical assistance whenever required to ensure product installations meet international best practice standards and maximise the potential benefits for our worldwide customer base.

We have an exciting opportunity for a QC Laboratory Technician to work within our Research and Technical Development department. The position is 40 hours per week, working Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, with an hour for lunch.

The QC technician is responsible for continuing the current quality control programme within a busy production environment ensuring a high quality of finished goods that meet set specifications.

As a QC technician your daily duties would include:

  • Testing incoming raw materials
  • Collecting samples from the production line and keeping on top of the changes in the production programme
  • Preparation of samples for numerous QC tests
  • Operation of laboratory equipment
  • Recording of results
  • Reporting of anomalous data to both the technical team and production team

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be enthusiastic and flexible to meet the needs of the business
  • Have good time management skills
  • Have a methodical approach to their work, following set procedures and appreciating the need to work safely in a clean laboratory environment
  • Be educated to a good standard in both English and Maths
  • Be computer literate, using programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Be able to communicate with members of production and technical teams effectively
  • Have an interest in science
  • To be able to work effectively as part of a growing team
