ColourTex is a decorative thermoplastic high friction surfacing that increases road safety through added skid resistance and brightly coloured visual aids.

Installed quickly and easily over existing road surfaces and pigmented in bold, vibrant, fade resistant colours, ColourTex decorative thermoplastic high friction material provides visual warning with enhanced skid resistance. ColourTex provides increased safety though enhanced surface friction and by providing a coloured visual aid, making it ideal for use in projects such as bus and cycle lane surfacing, giveways and traffic calming schemes.

The skid-resistant surface of ColourTex enhances road safety by improving braking times through increased surface friction. The brightly coloured material can also act as a visual aid to reinforce the message of conventional road markings and signs. ColourTex is the perfect solution for use on urban and rural networks, providing a durable, maintenance-free and colourfast surface that can be laid quickly and easily over the existing road surface.

Typical Uses

ColourTex decorative thermoplastic high friction surfacing is suitable for all classes of road where high friction, coloured surfacing is specified.

It is used on asphaltic surfaces with texture depths of between 0.5mm and 2.0mm, and is ideal for areas where visual demarcation is required for safety/traffic calming purposes.
